Best forI have very dry, frizzy hair and struggled to find a shampoo that actually cleanses without stripping. This leaves my hair feeling incredibly smooth and manageable. It has significantly reduced my frizz and gives my hair a healthy, glossy shine.

Fantastic glossy shineThis shampoo does just what is says on the box.
It washes my hair and also coats it with gloss so it gets that super reflective and smooth appearance.
I do mix it up with another line so I’m removing the film from my hat before I reapply next wash.
This is my go-to when I’m going out on a date and and event and my hair shines so bright.
- oh, and get the perfume too! Then you can touch up with tha gorgeous smell this lines throughout the evening. It’s DIVINE!!

Kerastase Gloss Absolu LineAs a male with wavy–curly, fine hair, I’ve spent years searching for products that could give me definition without weighing my hair down, moisture without greasiness, and shine without looking oily. I’ve tried countless shampoos, conditioners, and treatments — but nothing has come close to the Kérastase Gloss Absolu line.
From the very first use, I noticed how lightweight yet deeply nourishing the products felt. The ingredients in this line have made a huge difference for my hair. The amino acids and nourishing emollients helped bring out a level of curl definition I didn’t think my fine hair could achieve, and the hydration is noticeable without leaving any film or heaviness. My waves look smoother and more controlled, but still natural.
What really surprised me is the moisture balance. My hair usually gets frizzy if a product is too light and limp if it's too rich — but this line hits the perfect middle ground. My curls feel soft, hydrated, and healthy all day. And the shine is unreal: not glossy in an artificial way, but a clean, healthy brightness that makes my texture look its best.
After years of experimenting, I can honestly say no line has transformed my hair like this. If you have wavy or curly fine hair and you’ve struggled to find something that enhances your natural texture without weighing it down, the Kérastase Gloss Absolu line is absolutely worth it.
I wouldn’t mind having the shampoo, conditioner, and the leave-in Glazing Milk sent to me as a gift — but I digress. I suppose I’ll just have to muster up the courage and pay the high price myself. Honestly, it’s probably worth it anyway.

Not for meI so wanted to love this range but I didn't. It definitely tames the frizz, but it also left my copious fine wavy hair flat, limp, and totally lacking in body. On the plus side it smells absolutely gorgeous and I needed to wash my hair less often.

Itchy ScalpI was so excited to try this new product. I purchased shampoo & conditioner for myself and a set for my daughter. iTCHY SCALP was incredibly unbearable after the first use. I tried 3 times then gave up. My daughter has developed a rash on the back of her neck. 2 x shampoo and 2 x conditioner now only fit for the bin! Such a waste. I have been using Kerastase Nutritive for 30 years without a problem and more recently the Genesis range as I love the lightness of the shampoo. My adult daughter has been using Kerastase since she was 10 years old. Neither of us have had a problem ever except with Absolu Gloss. I would avoid, mistake was an expensive one. I have written to Kerastase to see how they respond to an allergic reaction to one of their products.

Don't use on keratin treated hairI foolishly bought this as I read somewhere that it was suitable for keratin treated hair. It contain sodium laurel sulphate! I have just ruined my keratin treatment.

Hair has never felt betterI really didn’t want to like this shampoo, given the price tag… I bought the smallest bottle just to try it out, after finding my hair feeling dry, heavy and honestly just gross after trying lots of cheaper shampoos and conditioners. I wanted some shine and although I have straight hair, have some flyaways which have always annoyed me. I honestly could tell the difference after one use. My hair felt silky soft, so much easier to brush and it looked so much smoother than before. I’ve had multiple compliments on my hair just from using the shampoo and conditioner, the smell is also pretty nice too. Hard to describe but I’ve had people compliment that too! Really would recommend this if you’re looking for softer and glossier hair, I definitely felt it had smoothed some of the flyaway hairs too. Can’t speak for the frizz aspect but it does everything else it says on the tin
